The Ems Bikepark

High above Bad Ems a mountain-bike-flow-trail, which is unique in this region,  makes every biker’s heart flutter. The trail, which is 3.8 kilometres long, runs down about 380 metres in height. Bikers may not only dash with a real good speed across rough forest floor. The trail offers numerous free-ride-elements which fans of outdoor-sports like.

It is a trail with lots of flow and even without any “do-or-die-jumps” the bikers will not be short of adrenalin. As bikers can go round tricky components – there are more than 100 of them like northshores, drops, kicker, corner and tables – the trail is explicitly designed for beginners, too.

Information on the trail:

The “Ems Bikepark” is open from April to October during daylight (» up-to-date status of the trail), the use is free of charge. Starting point of the trail is at the “Schöne Aussicht” near Kemmenau, the endpoint is the Arzbacher Straße in Bad Ems. There are parking facilities on the sports ground in Kemmenau ( 5 minutes on foot).

At the moment the following sections with a total length of 1.5 kilometres can be used: “Northshore 1”, “Nadelwald “( Coniferous Forest), “Northshore 2”, as well as the “Gap-sector” with its highlights  “big Northshore”, “Wallride” plus “big Stepdown”. It is expected that the following sections such as “Emser Schleuder” (Ems Skidding), “Dirtvalley” and “Canyonland” will be completed in 2015.
